Three decades in India's grape capital.
A family business from Niphad that buys from growers, runs its own processing line and ships to buyers in India and abroad.
Badjate Agro was started in 1995 by Mr. Mahendra Badjate to process and supply raisins out of Nashik. Thirty years later the work is the same: buy good raisins, clean them properly, grade them honestly and ship on time.
Our unit is in Niphad, Nashik, in the middle of the district that grows nearly half of India's grapes. Being this close to the farms means we buy straight from growers and pass the saving on in our price.
The second generation, Mr. Sumit Badjate and Mr. Ankit Badjate, took the business from domestic markets to buyers abroad. Today we supply seven types of raisins, from golden and black to Malayar and industrial grades.

Aspiration
Air removes light, hollow berries.

Cap stemmer
Caps and stems are pulled off each raisin.

Washing & fumigation
Washed, de-stemmed, fumigated and dried to keep moisture in check.

Oiling
A light coat of oil so berries stay loose and glossy.

Aspiration & grading
Second air pass, then sizing into grades.

Colour & laser sorter
Cameras reject off-colour berries, stones and foreign matter.

Hand sorting & packing
Final check by hand, packed in 5, 10 and 15 kg cartons.
